What is the HK Prize?

The hk prize is an international award that recognizes scientists whose research has had a substantial effect on society. It is open to researchers worldwide and selected through an impartial process without sponsorship or committee influence. Winners are awarded both monetary prizes and have their work showcased globally. Despite the benefits, participating in this prestigious competition can be difficult and it is essential to carefully read over its rules before signing up.

The award ceremony will take place in October and is expected to attract a large number of participants, including academics from all over the world. In addition to the prizes, winners will also be able to network with fellow scientists and gain exposure in the literary world. Those interested in applying should consult the official website for more information.

This year, the HK Prize will feature a total of 78 awards in categories ranging from writing to photography and news video. The judging panel is made up of leading academics and professionals in the field from around the world. In addition to cash prizes, winning entries will also receive shopping vouchers and F&B perks.

For the first time, the HK Prize will offer two special awards for young writers. The Young Writers’ Awards are designed to encourage aspiring youths to share their views and opinions on social issues in Hong Kong through written works. The awards will be presented at the ceremony in October, and the winners will receive prizes worth up to HK$10,000.

The HK Prize has received overwhelming support from various sectors of the community, particularly in the education sector. Several educational institutions have joined the event as partners, and a wide variety of activities have been planned to promote the importance of science in daily life. The organisers hope to create a sense of pride in the public about Hong Kong’s science and technology, and encourage students to pursue their passion for science and technology.

To ensure that the judging process is fair and independent, BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE has established a review procedure that ensures that no organization or individual exerts undue influence on the decision-making. In addition, the Board of the HK Alliance of Technology and Innovation plays an important role in interpreting and suggesting the main scientific research fields for THE PRIZE; appointing members to the Review Committee and Compliance Oversight Team; and verifying the final review results.

The design of the award logo and trophies juxtaposes two precious elements, a pearl and a pierced jade amulet, to symbolise the spirit of the HK Prize, which is that of “Pure and Unconditional Love”. It is hoped that the HK Prize will serve as an inspiration for people to live their lives to the fullest and to cherish each other. The prize has been supported by Justice Centre Hong Kong since 2013. The organisation envisions a future for Hong Kong in which human rights are protected at home and abroad, and strives to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to achieve their potential.
